Doris Day

미국의 가수·영화배우. 1950~60년대 활동했으며 엘리자베스 테일러, 오드리 헵번, 마릴린 먼로와 함께 당대를 대표하는 배우였다. 처음에는 가수로 출발했으며, 1948년 영화에 출연한 후 많은 뮤지컬 영화와 도시적인 코미디 영화에 등장했다. 1956년 알프레드 히치콕 감독의 영화 <나는 비밀을 알고 있다>에 출연, 유명한 <케 세라 세라>를 부르기도 했다. 1960년대 후반에는 <도리스데이쇼>를 진행했고, 은퇴후에는 '도리스데이애완동물재단'을 설립 운영했다. 2004년 미국 최고 훈장인 '자유의 메달'을 받았다.

미국 태생의 뮤직홀 아티스트이다. 1920년대 브로드웨이와 보스턴 쇼의 합창에서 선을 보인 후, 파리와 런던으로 가서 활약하였다. 검은색 피부를 유행시켰고 구슬 목걸이, 팔찌, 앵클릿 그리고 밝은 색의 글러브, 프린지와 화려한 색깔의 옷을 유행시켰다.
